2008 Workshops Parker Artists Guild (PAG) and GCRAG will sponsor workshops jointly this year. Some of the workshops will be held in Parker and some will be in CR. Barb Cohen (PAG) will be the contact person for some of the workshops and Lori Beckman (GCRAG) will be the contact person for others. Barb and Lori will work together on all arrangements for the workshops and will both attend them to make sure things run smoothly. The cost of the workshops will be the same for members of either guild, but most workshops will have a higher fee for those who do not belong to either guild. All the workshops will be advertised in the PAG newsletter and on both websites. The following workshops have been scheduled and all of them still have room for additional students. GCRAG Sponsored Workshops Barbara Wilson - Barb’s work can be viewed at www.co-art.net/ by clicking on ‘Artists’ and scanning down to her name. Abstracts and landscapes are shown. Date/Time: Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Location: Phillip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock. Cost: Members is $35.00.

PAG Sponsored Workshops Linda Ginsberg - Silk painting using the Sertit technique. The materials used in this workshop will be very user friendly which takes the stress out of a first experience. Bring your lunch. Date/Time: June 14 9:30am - 4:00pm Location: Parker Library Meeting Room Cost: $35 for guild members before May 1, and $45 for non-members. After May 1, the cost is $45 for both guild and non-guild members, payable to PAG. An additional $12 is to be paid to Linda at the workshop for the cost of materials she will provide (i.e. dyes, gutta, applicators, etc.).
The class will be limited to 20 participants.

Robert Burridge Painting Workshops in
Larkspur, Colorado! On Monday, May 19 through Saturday May 24, 2008, Robert Burridge, internationally acclaimed painter, author and teacher returns to teach art workshops in Larkspur, Colorado. His workshops in 2007 were a sell out! The first workshop, “Abstract Acrylic Painting and Collage” will be a 5-day workshop from May 19-23 and will focus on abstract and collage techniques using aqua media. On Saturday, May 24, Bob and his manger, Kate Burridge, will also present a 1-day “Art Marketing” Workshop. In this workshop you’ll learn Bob’s successful method for getting into (and winning) more shows, as well as a foolproof method for photographing your work, how to best approach galleries to represent you, and how to deal with copyright and licensing issues. The cost of the 5-day workshop “Abstract Acrylic Painting and Collage” (May 19-23) is $550 with a $165 deposit required (refundable up to 30 days before the workshop). Special payment plans are available for this workshop this year. The cost of the one-day “Art Marketing Workshop” is $80 (May 24) with a $30 deposit required (refundable up to 30 days before the workshop). a full time painter over twenty-two years ago. He lives and works in his studio in
California’s wine country where you can see his paintings on roadside
billboards! His original paintings can be
seen in six international galleries, on Starbucks Coffee mugs, Pearl Vodka bottles, eight
tapestries and on fine art edition prints in upscale retail stores and cruise ships. Robert Burridge teaches a
variety of painting workshops to professional and emerging painters throughout the United
States, Mexico and France. His workshops have historically changed artists' lives forever. Robert Burridge is an energetic, passionate speaker and motivator for anyone who wants to be a winner.
